They Made Me Kill consists of a selection of portraits of serial killers in their early childhood – the years when their personality was just about to be formed. In the edition, wallpapers are used as representation of behavior patterns. My aim is to explore what shapes our personality in the early stages of its development or in other words - the idea of home and the surrounding as an important factor in the creation of a monster. I am asking myself; do we all have the potential to become monstrous and how does aggression begin? What it is like when your family member does the unthinkable hidden behind a mask of normality?  Is it possible for a monstrous act to be committed by ordinary people like us or does evil always come from evil? Are there any differences or similarities between the victim and the murderer, especially in early childhood? Because after all we are all born the same or so it seems.

On the back of each poster there is an invisible UV hint about what those children are about to do in their life as grown-ups.
UV graffiti installation as part of the BA Book Arts & Design Final Show - A black light torch is used to reveal invisible graffiti, thus the viewer is initiated into the role of a private investigator at the crime scene.
They Made Me Kill was recently featured as part of Ventura projects during Milan Design Week. Bellow are a couple of snapshots from the display.

Thank you!
