Environs Nantais is an application developped for the Web2day festival, an event dedicated to the digital culture that takes place every year in Nantes, France.
Our wish was to allow participants to experience the particularly interesting places of the surrounding area whenever they want to take a break and enjoy the unusual attractions of the city.

The interface and the information architecture have been designed for a touch table navigation. So It provides a high visibility to the user and allows him to get access to targeted informations (geolocalisation, time, distance, path, price, photos) by simple and intuitive interactions.
The initial concept was also to implement an evolutive interface composed by a video background of
the sky of Nantes and photographies of the places which are changing depending on the time you use
the application.
The appearance and activities of a particular spot are not always the same by day than by night.
