“Message. Tech. Human” is a typographical project that uses posters, motion, and collaterals to execute the core methodology from either an artist, a musician, a photographer, a philosopher, a theorist, a poet, or a critic. Marshall McLuhan is a personal choice for this specific project and his theories potentially allow the designer to embed his critique/comments on media and mediums.
Posters function as short forms to deliver information to audience within short amount of time. The series itself is challenging the quantity of information within a poster. Is the physical format determining a “poster” or the quantity of information? Can a motion piece qualified as a poster?
Two broadsheet originate from this project not only explain McLuhan’s theory and media development in history, but also intend to challenge the traditional format of “broadsheet” as a typical printed media.
