Where have all birds gone - IFOAM

Motion Graphics

The International Federation of Organic Agricultural Movements is an umbrella organization fighting for better and organic world. Various organizations, producers, traders, and scientific institutions have separate goals, but they share one idea - to preserve Earth's wealth for future generations. This time, they wanted to raise awareness among EU citizens about how unsustainable agriculture is causing a decline in birdlife. The choice of stylistics wasn't easy for us at first. We knew that the realistic style is somehow expected, especially in terms of presenting animals and nature.

But on the other hand, we were tempted to show slightly simplified, geometric forms
Thus, we combined the two. The image complements the voice-over textcreating a movie-like montage. To reflect the fully natural beauty of the swallows, our main characters, we decided to use cel animation in bird movements. The color palette was also significant in the project, visually dividing the story into two parts. Joyful, vivid colors of nature complemented the calm tones of the Earth.
