In this project I chose beauty as my symbol. I used colored pencils, pencil, pen, watercolor, and a white gel pen to make this composition. I wanted to create a wave with a lighthouse in the back to show beauty. 

 

   It was required to make a first draft and then a revision of this project. Overall I like the first creation more than the revision. This is because I’m not very skilled in watercolor but have more experience with colored pencil. 

 

   I made a connection to beauty with my artwork because I used things you see in nature and a beautiful sunset with a lighthouse and other things involving bright colors and aesthetics. I like how this is a picture perfect image of something showing beauty in nature.

 

   If I were to create this project again I would change a couple of things. I would use a different brand of colored pencils in my first creation because the Crayola pencils I used kept breaking. I would also use more colors in the sea and waves of my revision to create more depth and maybe a smaller paint brush for fine detail in the lighthouse. Overall, I am satisfied with my work.
