I had the opportunity to rebrand the Colorado Center for Astrodynamics Research. I gave them twelve concepts, one of which being simply a modernization of their original logo, the rest covering a range of symbolic solutions. After review they requested a merging of two of the options - 01 Modernization and 02 3.333, a geometric, font-based concept.

01 Modernization uses circles and diamonds to represent solid cosmic bodies (planets and moons) and gaseous cosmic bodies (stars and suns), the grid of straight lines symbolizing the research and the orbital the dynamics.
