Nady Studio was assigned by the art director Waleed Elshinini for the project, during the creative process, we came up with lots of unique compositions from where we chose the main poster for the movie, we were hindered by the fact that we couldn't find full body pictures of some of the actors in the movie so we went to the location, and we captured some pictures but some of the actors/actresses didn't agree to be photographed, and that kind of challenge allowed for creative freedom.
Creative concepts (draft)
The movie plot takes place between Beirut and Cairo, after watching the raw material of the movie, that made us think of the main landmarks of both cities, and we were inspired by the dramatic context of the movie, then we decided that the main art style chosen for the movie would be motion comics, the technique chosen for the illustrations was complex since we wanted to produce high quality renders with a comic look and feel so we had many phases starting from inking to visual effects and ending with lighting, and this motivated the director and the producer to assign us to create the intro of the movie and multiple scenes inside the movie.
We had a tough mission to finish the poster within a very tight timeframe, almost a week, in addition to another challenge which is creating high quality and size fit for billboard printing noting that all the work was done within Nady Studio perimeter, we're happy to be part of the art movement elevating the movie posters industry bringing back the long gone illustrated movie posters style.
