"Young Innovators Program": Short Documentary
We were approached by Qatar Foundation to make a short documentary to launch its 'Young Innovators Program' which strives to support exceptional young Arab youth, who may not otherwise have the opportunity to pursue education.
The documentary follows the stories of four students who were supported by the program.

Each of them had excruciating experiences and struggles. Haidar lost a friend in an explosion while they were on their way to attend classes in the medical school at the University of Baghdad, Iraq. Ahmad's school was destroyed by an airstrike in the 2009 Gaza War. Raggee struggled to find a university that would accept him due to his muscular dystrophy condition. And finally, with an IQ of 168, Morsy couldn't find the right environment in Sudan that could accommodate his exceptional abilities.
The use of hyperlapse and timelapse techniques were naturally developed as we got to know the students. It was the right approach to depict the slow, yet consistent growth of the students regardless of the surrounding madness.
