I had the pleasure and honor of collaborating with my brilliant friend Taylor Cole on her poetry book, Letting Go (2018). She wrote each poem and took each photo and curated them with intention, love and care. I was so excited to be a part of bringing her vision to life and grateful that she trusted me with the creative direction and layout design.
I often think poetry books can be pretty bland to read... each poem on its own blank page, leaving little room for imagination and daydreaming. With the addition of Taylor's breathtaking photography of nature and the people within it, we were able to create a visual atmosphere where each poem could express itself and bring the reader closer.
This book is an outpouring of deep thoughtfulness on grief, change, and ultimately the "letting go" - moving forward with gratitude and a little bit of hope.
