Limerick City Rebrand

After a period when Limerick often made the news for all the wrong reasons, the city has now reversed its fortunes having enjoyed a decade of dramatic change. This new Limerick has become a beacon for positive change and is now alive with fresh opportunities for citizens, visitors and investors alike. The aim of the new Limerick brand is to put the city back on the map, for all the right reasons. It’s about creating meaningful, memorable and relevant communication that appeals to everyone, and highlighting the values and personality of the city.
 
The brand essence is the one idea which defines a brand, and for Limerick the essence is simply that it’s a place worth smiling about! Limerick is a unique city bursting with energy and optimism with an involved and inspiring community at its heart. It's a city that has something to offer to everyone. Its natural beauty, historical heritage and tradition, top higher education facilities, and a strong sense of community, have been a springboard for invention and creativity, and the last two decades have shown that Limerick has reinvented itself, transforming into a vibrant and energized destination for residents, businesses, investors, and tourists.
 
The identity I designed is meant to bring colour, positivity and vibrancy to the city. The logo is dynamic, playful and energetic - just like the people of Limerick. And the smile... is exactly that - a smile on the faces of a happy community.
