DigitalAnalog 2019 Geistha - Live Visuals

DigitalAnalog, a Munich's audio visual festival is bringing musicians and visual artists together to create unique audio visual experiences. As participants of this year's edition, we were assigned the electronic music band Geistha from Mannheim, Germany. Using the visual development platform TouchDesigner*, a series of interactive live visuals to accompany the band's live performance was created, which otherwise only consists of a setup of 8 pre-programmed LED light poles.
In the short time between the assignment and the live show itself, a visual interface and a series of 2D and 3D visuals were developed to fit the band's dreamy electro pop sounds and pre-programmed light show perfectly.
The visuals were generated and manipulated in real time via MIDI-controller, controlling parameters such as colour, levels, particles, camera movement, speed or forces.

GEISTHA - 2019
Dark beats vibrate through wide electronic soundscapes. Dancing masses loose themselves in hazy cathedrals of concrete. Challenging norms and conventions, the singer, songwriter and producer GEISTHA lets his songs get lost within obscure electronic spheres to, in the end, bring them back into familiar grounds. The artist is driven to make his distinct aesthetic vision portable, conveyable. The atmospheric live show is based on the idea to manipulate time and space with light and sound. Captivating light installations form a symbiosis with vibrating beats. Wandering from intimacy to ecstasy, GEISTHA gently guides his audience through an audio-visual experience.
