UI: Kiu Mobile App

Kiu is a Malaysian Sign Language mobile Application. My main task is to develop a UI/UX concept application & website for Kiu. During the development, I took into accounts all details, starting from rough ideation to logically structured elements.
KIU is a mobile-learning application for Malaysian Sign Language. The app was aimed at helping people to learn the sign language by memorisation (The Leitner Flashcard System) portably without having to be in a physical class. The solution is planned to be gamified to make it more approachable and to educate our audience in a fun way.  This gamifying education will enable users to learn the language by fundamentally having more interesting and engaging learning session through the use of technology. Moreover, the app could be useful for sign language instructors as a tool for reviewing their students’ level of knowledge (if any).
Issues:

- There is little recognition on the importance of UX especially its navigation elements in MSL (Malaysian Sign Language) mobile application.

- The learning process was designed ineffectively. There is a lack of requirement for users to finish a skill or set of skills before moving on to the next, more challenging set.

- MSL is a visual, moving language. A digital learning platform must utilize the ability to support motion graphics instead of using static lossless compression file format that does not support animation.
