The Little Mermaid
Many films by Walt Disney have very little of the original story that exists though most people are only familiar with the Disney version.
For instance, the Little Mermaid by Disney is much more different than the original Little Mermaid story by Hans Cristian Andersen in 1837. Andersen wrote the Danish literary fairy tale filled with pain, tragedy, and heartbreak with a happy ending.
