Silhouette Synthesis

For my Silhouette Synthesis, I was tasked with combining two objects that showed opposite themes or something unnerving. I had to use all my own photos and the most intriguing photo I had was of a pigeon. Something about its eye and its stance stood out to me among everything else, and I wanted to change a simple bird into something interesting that gives you a morbid sense of curiosity. I had the idea to give it human legs to make it slightly disturbing. So, I used Photoshop to combine the pigeon with a picture of my legs. After merging them and creating a silhouette, I put them in Adobe Illustrator and created an outline a laser cutter could follow. I then used the laser cutter to cut my design out of illustration board, and mounted the final product.
