I was excited to swim in calmer waters, though we are a country with plenty of water bodies, most are not safe to swim in. By history, our ancestors were most drawn to water and have settled on stilted villages above the rivers. And depended on the rivers, lakes and ocean to live. It's interesting to know that most cities of the world were built near their major water bodies: Jakarta, Cairo, Seoul, New York, London and Paris, among others.
