King Lear - Star Map
This Star Map was created to illustrate the significant turns and events occurred in the play, "King Lear", by William Shakespeare.

To relate back in the setting of the play, I drew this star-map in the style of one of the first star-maps ever created in the 1600s.

All the constellations spread throughout the disc are made-up to correspond to "King Lear"'s plot and symbols. To design them, I took inspiration from ancient drawings of exiting constellations and shaped mine based on the previous. For example, Tigo was originated from the constellation Leo, Soră from Gemini, and Loss from Andromeda.

I applied thin lines to shade and irregular thickness of the pen to create a hand-drawn and antique effect. Along with the stars' labeling, the drawing was complete and fulfilled the theme of an ancient tragic play.
