Disadvantages of regular plug & socket :
1. sometimes the pins in the plug will not sit firmly in the socket holes. This may be due to the difference in size of pin and hole.
2. A single socket cannot be used with all the different plugs available in the market (with different shape, size, orientation, design standard etc.).
3. Big catch is that every country follows their own standards which is bad for international sellers that they have to produce all the variations to match those standards.
Some are hard to push into the socket (again due to size variations) which is difficult for elderly.
To over come these disadvantage, here is my concept design.
