Vector illustration for an article about a magnificent monument of art and architecture of Ancient Russia.  Of particular importance for Russian and world culture is the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin.  According to the text of the chronicle on the slope of the northern door, it was painted by Dionysius and his sons from August 6 to September 8, 1502. This is the only surviving painting by the outstanding representative of the Moscow icon painting school, the main painter of the turn of the 15th-16th centuries.
