To have a neuroatypical brain is to fight, without wanting to, with a will that is not your own. All the times you didn't say want you wanted, you did what you didn't wanted to, you lost your chance, you missed the goal, you inexplicably failed - that is you as well. I spent too much time wondering what was wrong with my brain and how to fix it. Now I accept that the same chemical imbalance that makes me fail 90% of the things that I want to accomplish, also gives me an insatiable curiosity and energy to find new things to be excited about. And loving me for what is wrong about me, is my idea of success. ADHD is my nemesis and my muse.
