Museum labels are captions that define the object/work on display. These labels provide information about what the title of the work is, when it was made, who was the artist/maker, the material. It sometimes has a little description about the work on display. These labels are as important for a person with visual impairment as for a sighted person. Often, these labels are not in large print or placed in a way that a person with visual impairment(V.I) cannot access them easily. The information is available but it is difficult to access. Museums are working on this issue with new resources being introduced but more attention is required. The work is made in response to the above statement. The label is turned into an an art piece to highlight the accessibility issues faced by people with V.I. The words hand embroidered on the layers of fabrics are labels from museums. They are arranged and divided between layers in a way to make it hard to read or connect the descriptions. The viewer is invited to decode the information that is provided but difficult to access.
