I am very glad to share this project since it was one of the most challenging to me this year, overall because of the short deadline and extra requirements per player.
The project consisted of illustrating the 12 most important basketball players in the 2019 World Cup, celebrated in Shanghai to be included in the FIBA advertising campaign. With a short timing, several rounds of feedback and many additional adjustments per player,
such as updating the jerseys of each country to 2019 designs and working with low resolution images, which added more difficulty handling details and working in a big scale.
Also, it has been my first time working for the Asian Market so I had to adapt to a high and intense way of working. Despite this, I am very happy with the final outcome. There is nothing more satisfactory that the client and the agency are both happy with the result.

Me alegra compartir este proyecto que ha sido uno de los más desafiantes de este año, sobre todo por el corto plazo de entrega, requerimientos del cliente y jugadores lesionados que se bajaron a ultima hora los cuales tuve que reemplazar rápidamente.
El proyecto consistió en ilustrar 12 de los jugadores de basketball más importantes del mundial de 2019, celebrado en Shanghai, con un timing de 4 semanas, con varias rondas de feedback y muchos ajustes extras por jugador; como por ejemplo, actualizar las equipaciones de cada país al año 2019 y trabajar con imágenes en baja resolución y un tanto antiguas, lo que agregó una dificultad mayor a la hora manejar los detalles y entregar una ilustración de grandes dimensiones para publicidad.
Además, ha sido la primera vez que he trabajado para el mercado asiático y he tenido que adaptarme a un nivel de trabajo realmente alto e intenso. A pesar de esto, estoy muy contento con el resultado. No hay nada más satisfactorio que tanto el cliente como la agencia hayan quedado felices con el resultado.
