We were commissioned by the organizers of the pageant to create the branding guidelines for Miss Iloilo 2020.

This is our fist time to brand a pageant and the first task was to figure out the personality of the brand. We searched famous Ilongga personalities from the past and the present generation. We were surprised that an Ilongga, coming from Molo was the first Queen of the first Beauty Pageant in the Philippines: Carnival Queen of The Philippines.
Our motto was inspired by these women, who were not just beautiful but also made sure that the people felt their beauty and love through their actions.
For the brand symbol, we made version of the letter "M" for "Miss" and letter "I" for "Iloilo". We hand drawn the letter "M" to exude femininity and created and Ilongga silhouette for the letter "I". The silhouette emphasize the difference of an Ilongga compared to other Filipina. Humble and graceful, yet courageous and confident.
For the colors, our aim was to represent the brand values: Purple for Faith, Shades of Gold for Hope and Pink for Love.
