1'23'' is based on my experiences while on route in Dublin. Rarely straying off route, the bus journey was tedious and mundane. In retrospect, the characters I came across added humour to the repetitive pattern and reminded me that it was not as arduous as I had though. The unhelpful bus driver as I tried to get home, the driver on bus 49 who roared at cyclists and the little girl on bus 16 were a few of these characters.
