Contemporary Children playground project
in occasion of "Rijeka, city of culture 2020"
Series of Illustrations commissioned by the creative agency "Benussi & the Fish" for the installation named "Uragan" ship, Rijeka 2020. Illustrations I have created are being part of an installation - innovative, contemporary playground for children in the Croatian town
of Rijeka, build around the reconstructed steamship "Uragan" on the docs of the harbor. Installation includes the ship itself and space/
the environment around it. The main elements of the illustrations have been the sea life and children interact with them, in a fantastical underwater world! Before it sunk Uragan ship had various functions: it was used as a film set as well as a ship for geological research
of the seabed. Upon the end of the restoration, Uragan is exhibited on the shore as a valuable example of Rijeka maritime tradition.
