NAUTILUS SHELL WITH NURBS BUMP ALGORYTHM

From the auric spiral (original of the marine organisms Nautilus) following the geometry of the golden rectangle, a decreasing spiral surface was created towards its centre.
By means of visual programming algorithms a series of alterations were made to the nurbs (u, v). This created a series of interesting patterns on the surface, resembling the real patterns of the shells of different mollusks. The file was subsequently prepared to be printable using 3D printing technology. Digital models can be found at:

Basado en la espiral áurea (original de los organismos marinos Nautilos) siguiendo la geometría del rectángulo dorado, se creó una superficie en espiral decreciente hacia su centro.
Por medio de algoritmos de programación visual se le añadió una serie de alteraciones hacia los nurbs (u, v) ésto creó una serie de patrones interesantes sobre la superficie, asemejándose a los patrones reales de los caparazones de distintos moluscos.
