Led Zeppelin - Poster Design

This is an exercise in colour, composition, layout, and typography. It is a poster designed for the song—When the Levee Breaks by Led Zeppelin.

Every element in the composition represents what I feel for this song. Rockwell (chosen typeface) with its straight lines and slab-serifs represent the levee. The letters pushed out of alignment by the flow and force of the flowing, unruly red lines represent a river
in spate. These red lines also resemble blood vessels that represent life force here.
The blue and black of the background are colors that have been used in many earlier artworks of the band. The white spikes (graphic element) on either side add dynamism to the composition, even though it may be a form usually not associated with the Led Zeppelin style of music. This was a class assignment.
