Character development for an H.P. Lovecraft Dagon-based animation script. Adaptation changed the year in the mid-2000s in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A student, Denilson, waits for the bus. A beggar talks to him, Jonas. With fear and arrogance, he expels Jonah. Distracted, he misses the bus and runs after the bus shouting for the driver to stop, the driver accelerates leaving Denilson behind. He arrives in a strange place. In this place, he sees the shadows and the fear makes he run desperately and get into  an old warehouse in the old port of Rio. There he sees an old and bizarre thing, now he desperately  try to forget what he seen.
Some Denilson's development sketches. The first image was the Denilson's main colors and your silhouetes.
Jonas is a desperate soul, forgotten in the streets.
The city casts the shadows. People whose identities and lives are mixed with the city, nobody sees them, nobody cares, but they have to live, they have to feed, they need care.
