This first issue of the magazine depicts stories about people, based in Vilnius. A city that reminds us of Berlin 10 years ago - young, affordable, and bursting at the seams with potential. Over the last decade, a landscape of booming creative economy has flourished and we can’t wait to tell the world all about it.The magazine is about finding oneself, simply through the act of doing, which we tried to metaphorically portray on the cover of the magazine as well. The cover is also about carrying out plans and ideas that may initially seem small or insignificant, yet in the end always leads to new perspectives and gives unique ways of moving further.

Structurally, the magazine is based around the concept of asking questions and deducing respective answers. We visually help the reader navigate different people, places, and events, set in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. By creating chapters, phonetic transcriptions, and graphic elements, we seek to familiarize readers with foreign sounding Lithuanian names. We have also added yellow pages, inspired by the old styled, 90’s phone books to showcase and celebrate the best local designers as well as an alphabetical guide for experiencing Vilnius like a true local. Lastly, we briefly leave Vilnius and ask two photographers to explore other, just as interesting corners of Lithuania. From a town built in the SSRS times, designed to run and maintain a power plant (it’s exactly the same as Pripyat / Chernobyl), to a quiet, otherworldly white sand island, which during the winter is inhabited solely by fishermen.
