Anamorphosis between art and visual perception.
Anamorphosis is a small but fascinating chapter of perspective, a mixture of geometry and the psychology of perception used by artists to represent the world around us.
The goal of this project was to create a concept for an exhibition,using the technique of anamorphosis. It was requested to imagine having to set up an exhibition on an artist, I chose Salvador Dali, and to use a painting by this artist as the subject of the exhibition.
The chosen painting is “Galatea of the spheres”; I thought that to combine the psychological nature of the technique of anamorphosis with the abstract nature of this painting was a perfect combination to give the idea of physically entering the artist’s creative mind.
