The Kangia Glacier (Jakobshavn Glacier) is the largest in the northern hemisphere and is one of the world's fastest and most active. It reaches the sea at Disko Bay on the west coast of Greenland pushing enormous icebergs out into the bay near the town of Ilulissat. This Ilulissat Ijsfjord is a UNESCO world heritage site.
