Issey Miyake Kyoto - KURA Exhibition poster design
This project presented us with a freedom of topic in which is actually happening in the real world to choose from to make a one page poster to call attention to it. The topic chosen is an exhibition called “MONTAGE”by Issey Miyake, a designer clothing brand, it features its two new technologies introduced in the Fall/Winter 2019 collection, called the “Baked Stretch” and “Steam Stretch” technology.
The clothing features very abstract color choices and different shapes in which is directly represented on the poster itself, as if the reader is seeing the pieces themselves
In a 2 dimensional format. The type selected was Futura as its modern aesthetic reflects well with Issey Miyake’s innovative clothing.
