This triptych contains a series of portraits about people who have a desire to end their lives. The design and structure of the book is inspired by the process of Apoptosis, also the title of the book. It aims to be respectful and – in a simple way – create awareness and understanding amongst this loaded subject.

Apoptosis: “A type of cell death or cell suicide mechanism in which the cell uses specialized cellular machinery to kill itself. As a group cells are able to resist to this urge, but once isolated they all die. This phenomenon of suicide has been named Apoptosis.”
