Witch's Room 2：Birth

Topic 2 is related to birth like women usually be asked to have a child after she has marriage or not. It seems like women must have children, otherwise, she would be blamed like a selfish.

1. She has been married for five years, enjoying her life without a child.

2. She wants to spend more time and money to enjoy her life. But her relatives and family always ask her when she has a baby.

3+4. She is asked why does not she want a baby. For a woman, parenting is a female vocation. If she does not obey the rule, she is not a good wife and she is selfish.  

5. Marrying and having children, working hard to raise and pass on values to the next generation is the meaning of life. Otherwise, a woman is not a whole woman.

6. She understands that she really does not want a child, and foresee she could be imprisoned by a child’s life.

7+8. She does not want to be just a uterus, she is a complete person. She takes medicine to avoid pregnancy. She does not want to use a child to prove she is worthy in her life, whether to her parents or ancestors.

9. She wants to break the rule that life itself is independent. The only thing she needs to is worthy of herself, and to be a mother should be a woman's option, not an obligation.

10.Unfortunately, she still suffers blame from the society that pushes the responsibility for birth to women. The family is still waiting for her to have a son to carry on the family name, and society needs to increase  the birth rate. Her uterus does not belong to herself.
