Responsive Web Design and Implementation for a Small Business
With a goal of bringing Sentry Mirror's site into the modern era, I created a new Bootstrap-based site that is responsive and simple in style while maintaining the original information architecture desired by the company.
A New Home
Below you see the completed homepage to the right of the original. It includes an updated logo graphic at higher resolution than the original, clear and easy to read navbar and contact information footer, and a simplified color palette.
Adding New Design Elements
In an effort to make the mostly text-based site easier to read so that their customers can more quickly take in the information, I added new design elements, such as the testimonials, parts table, and product images below. I also removed extraneous graphics and chose a larger and more legible font.
Getting in Contact
With the majority of the company's business currently conducted over the phone, it was critical to have a clear and easy to use contact page.
Going Mobile
For the website to be brought up to date, it had to also be mobile friendly. Thanks to the grid-based nature of the new site, it converts easily to mobile view with a simple hamburger button for the menu.
