SAGA Fur Competition 2013

I entered a competition by SAGA Fur, a company that procures and supplies luxury furs, which required me to design a lifestyle accessory. SAGA promotes different techniques for their furs like laser cutting, dyeing, pressing, manipulating, and slicing. I tried to use that in my designs to give a feeling of richness in nature. This is why I chose wood as my inspiration. I illustrated and created a pattern for a 14''x4''x10'' bag with a removable strap. The techniques I used were laser cutting the Pastel Mink pelt and using a method called Airgallon on the Fawn Light Fox pelt. I am proud of this design, as it was my first complete original Accessory Design project. I don’t know if I won or not yet I’ll find out the 15 of May.
