Through smoky vagueness, I wanted to realistically portray a dream I'd experienced. A photo-collage base allowed me to throw together that surreal haze of imagery so common for dreams, with ink and gouache hatching applied to raise areas of detail and importance. For this concept, all that was really integral was a feeling of unease and a strikingly out-of-place eldritch monolith in a sleepy suburban backyard.
