The Sentimental Trip (2)
For a few years I was planning to beat once again specific tourist route in the "High Tatra" mountains. Unfortunately each time something happened that prevented me from doing that. It was almost the same this year, due to extremely high temperatures in June.
However one day was cooler (about 22 degree Celsius in contrast to previous days with 30 degrees). Then I finally did it.
Years earlier the decision - 'Yes, we are going over there'(we, meaning Her and me) - was also on the edge, because of the rainy day at the beginning of the trip (at 9 am - quite late).
At that time we really didn't know what difficulties were ahead us, we didn't know what weather would be later. We didn't exactly know what power we had. Anyway, being optimistic we ventured.
In my mind this trip remains as one of the best. Just because of difficulties and exploration of a new area.
There are differences and similarities between this and earlier trip.
What is common?
The route (in 2/3 the same), the same complicated way of coming back and late time of return (after midnight).
What are the differences?
Start time: 6:40. Sunny and long day. I was alone (as I prefer in mountains) and I was physically better prepared.
Finally, completely different photographic equipment: analog SLR camera Olympus IS-1 (well performing, still in use) versus full size digital SLR camera (at least size of frame was preserved).
In addition, I was very motivated to make interesting pictures what was not possible as I wanted first time.
