The word Cosa Nostra comes from Sicily and means our thing. It was also the word that the Sicilian mafia used to name themselves even when they came to the United States in the early 1920s. Today, the American Mafia cooperates in various criminal activities with Italian organized crime groups, such as the Sicilian Mafia, the Camorra of Naples, and 'Ndrangheta of Calabria. When I originally heard this word the first thing that came to my mind was Al Capone and Giuseppe Esposito, as well as Morello, Leggio, Navarra, Riina and the Gambino Family. Most of these mafia members smoked cigars.

This mockup brand and visual identity was created with the idea of class. It is based on the founding date on the mafia wars of the 1920s which lead up to Maranzano. He was the first leader of the organization dubbed "La Cosa Nostra." and established its code of conduct, set up the “family” divisions and structure, and enacted procedures for resolving disputes. Two of the most powerful La Cosa Nostra families—known today as the Genovese and Gambino families—emerged from Maranzano’s restructuring efforts.
