Analysis, design and development of an electric commuter bicycle.
During the project extensive research is done among end-users and sales customers to define demands and specifications of the bicycle. The design and knowledge from this project formed the basis for development of a new premium segment E-Bike for QWIC.
“A remarkable outcome from my research is that dealers and consumers have different ideas about bicycles. Dealers focus more on the technical aspects of the bike; maintenance is important. Also the dealer values a well-known brand name and contemporary design.
Consumers however prefer a not too complicated bike, with a couple of gears, not too heavy and theft resistant. Cycling should preferably be an easy and relaxing way to travel.”
