The Xingitan Temple is one of the most popular temples around Taiwan. Dedicated to the god of war, Guan Yu, who is also the patron of businessmen. Dragons are the dominant decorative motif in the temple. The main pavilion houses an altar with a statue of Guan Yu and two black columns decorated with golden elements where prayers and devotions are held.
