Impressions of Ljubljana and Istanbul, Artists book

Impresije, Ljubljana/Istanbul (Impressions of Ljubljana and Istanbul), Artists Book, Limited Edition, 1st Edition, made in Slovenia, 2017, ISBN 978-961-288-214-3
Impressions are artistic correspondence, a dialogue between visual artists Hana Jesih and Eva Mlinar. Using e-mail, they exchanged visual impressions representing their experiences and perceptions of the culture, society, community and diversity of the cities they lived in during that time (Hana in Ljubljana, Eva in Istanbul). The end result of the digital dialogue are collage illustrations of selected topics (Street, Coffee, Icon/Idol, Spring, Scarlet, Reflection, Dusk, Silence, Event, Autumn), bound together in a book. The illustrations in book Impressions are accompanied by the written impressions by Kaja Blazinšek, Andraž Boštjančič, Nejc Gazvoda, Matic Kocijančič and Eva Mahkovic. Book represents a dialogue between authors and artistic exploration, an experiment in images and words.
