ICAD UPSTARTS
We were asked to create an advertising campaign that targets single people who are looking to settle down, convincing them that while human beings are fallible,
an A.I doll is the perfect partner for them to spend their life with.

We realised that for the general public, A.I dolls are a taboo subject with many considering them “weird”. We wanted to break this stigma and so we proposed a creative idea that highlights that A.I relationships aren’t weird-they’re just different ways to love.
These relationships may not be conventional, but true love rarely is.
 Insight: An AI doll is programmed to make you happier than a human ever will.

In a world of fake social media accounts and influencers, AI dolls can be as real as people​​​​​​​.
The Turing test was first invented by scientist Alan Turing 
and functioned as a machine’s ability to exhibit intelligent behaviour 
equivalent to, or indistinguishable from, that of a human.
To this day, there have been few machines that have actually 
passed the test-and even at that, most devised clever ways
to fool the judges rather than rely on overwhelming 
computing power. We want to show the world that our AI dolls 
are advanced enough to not only beat the Turing test,
but pose as actual people.
THE IDEA
BUT WHY STOP THERE?
Interest in dating shows are at an all time high at the moment with shows like Love Island, First Dates and Take Me Out taking up people’s time and attention in the evenings. 
We propose that Blind Data becomes a show in it’s own right that tests 
contestants perception of which participants are real people and which 
are A.I dolls. The show will be narrated by a VO akin to Iain Sterling 
in Love Island who will comment on the action.

During the show’s finale the true turing test will be revealed: Our narrator was 
an A.I all along. Viewers at home who realised this ahead of the big reveal 
will be rewarded with tickets to be in the audience of season 2.
EXECUTIONS
Coinciding with the launch of the show, a series of ads will be 
released across various mediums to promote Blind Data.
SOCIAL
With GDPR laws and documentaries like FYRE festival raising questions 
of what is real and what is fake online, we plan on creating a host of new wave 
social media influencer.Our influencers will be like many others on instagram: 
a fashionista, a fitness fanatic, a globetrotter...but also an A.I doll who participates.

Fake influencer accounts are already beginning to appear on social media, with cgi 
bots like Lil Miquela taking over Instagram. Camera angles will be chosen carefully 
to create the illusion that our influencer, for example ‘Aida’ (A.I Doll Account), 
is a real person who is giving her followers a taste of her high-flying lifestyle. 
Eventually, Aida will release a video telling the world her biggest secret: 
She’s been forever single and is looking for that special someone to slide their way into her DM’s...oh, and she’s also a robot if you didn’t know already.
