This was a pro-bono work for a friend who had started her non-profit to help newly arrived Refugees and Immigrants acquire high level skills in the garment and fashion industry by pairing local designers with her students. With this in mind, the thought for this logo was to use a stylized Venn Diagram in the shape of an M. The Venn Diagram being the students and designers coming together to create a cross-section of skills and a new beginning. The M's form was intended to mimic a ribbon or something delicate and flowing while maintaining the structure of the Venn Diagram. Color pallete was chosen by founders of organization. The text at the bottom was kept to a modern standard using Helvetica moderately spaced and lightly anchors the design with a dark gray rather than a black.

In this project, my role was that of Art Director. The client was performing a good portion of the work on her own with my help as she was not familiar with Adobe Illustrator or the design process. She had the basic, feeling and aesthetic of what she wanted and I provided the guidance towards the idea and design process to help her through that.
Website not designed by me. Logo doing its job upper left.
