Artefacts VII - Microscope

As part of "Artefacts" (summer 2015) I modelled a ZEISS Microscope from the 1960's. The main task was to create a digital interaction application for the user to experience "How does this device work". For this task to accomplish, I firstly needed to understand it myself. Thats why I researched on the functionality of light-based microscopes and the details of the device itself - which knob affect which parameter.

After that i started modelling and created a Flowchart for interaction. I used 3ds Max for  modelling and Unity 5 as engine to create the application. It was the first time i 3D-modelled, so several issues with the geometry happened during the progress. But it was a decent training just "learning-by-doing" that.
