Visage is a magazine for the cosmetic world that primarily focuses on companies, trends, and issues that are affect the industry as a whole, rather than focusing solely on the consumer. The story on the cover is about the harsh chemicals that are added to many cosmetics. The approach taken was to use the photo of a "natural" looking model and cover it with an un-organic shape, which is inlayed with images of these chemicals. These images then had their color or saturation increased or changed to make them more appealing to the eye. The overall design is interesting and attention grabbing. The interior pages are designed to be easy to read with bright and energetic colors. The two-page spread coincides with the cover and retains the idea of overlaying the un-organic (shapes and letters) over the organic (human face) to create a juxtaposition that relates to the dangers claimed in the cover story.
