This project's goal was to learn about building and designing custom furniture, working with materials, metal fabrication, welding, woodworking and all the steps required to bring a design idea to a finished product. The idea was to achieve a high quality piece with a low budget and little building experience. The cabinet doors are made out of raw particle board. It's rich texture and sand-like quality combined with a matte polyurethane sealant give it a high-end appearence for a low price. The work surface is a white laminate countertop. For the metal frame 30x30mm square tube steel was used and custom leveling feet were fabricated.
