The Burtonwood Brewery project is an outcome from my BA (Hons) Graphic Design module.

The book is designed to hold and share memories with the community of people who have had a link with Burtonwood Brewery. Filled with history, current affairs and tales dating from the founding of the brewery unto the present day.

The project is based around the book full of ‘history, times and tales,’ and this is the title. Due to the time I had available to me to complete this project I felt that I would expand into different areas of design. I addressed this by packaging the book with artefacts related to the brewery. These artefacts sourced both locally from neighbouring towns and overseas such as bottle labels, decades old from Pennsylvania, United States. Some items that would have appeared to have been junk by some, are priceless memories portrayed through my design.

During the design process image restoration and recreation are skills I have used to allow a high standard of quality control with imagery, editing of old images to bring the glory back to be enjoyed again. Also, logos, illustrations and graphics, as no originals were available to me, recreation from pixels to vector brings them back to their former glory allowed me to achieve a high standard of design. A standard home 3-1 printer was used to scan and print everything.
