Startup Weekend Brussels

Startup Weekend is an intense 54-hour event where local entrepreneurs, developers, designers, product managers, startup enthusiasts and anyone interested in building a business and help the local community will come together to share ideas, form teams, and launch startups.

I was part of Startup Weekend Brussels for two years in raw (2018 &2019) in the same city with different theme.We kept some elements for the main logo in two events, we only changed the beaker to adapt it with the event's theme.

The Logo

In Startup Weekend Brussels's beaker we used some of Brussels most famous monuments like Brussels Town Hall, Arcade du Cinquantenaire, and National Basilica of the Sacred Heart.

Typography

For Techstars Startup Programs event logos and titles, Montserrat is the default typeface. Inspired by signage found in a historical neighborhood of Buenos Aires, it is a crowdfunded and open source font you can download from Google Fonts.

Part of the world's biggest educational movement for entrepreneurs, this Artificial Intelligence Brussels edition aim to gather data scientists, robotics specialists, developers, designers, marketers, product managers, and further AI or startup enthusiasts to share ideas, form teams, build products, and launch startups …in 54 hours!

These colors are used in the Techstars logo and all the official Techstars communication. Slate is used across the startup programs wordmark and Techstars, Green is shared with Startup Weekend and the Saffron and Dark for AI theme.

We wanted to create something that was awesome and cool but also that had a clean look.

This event was the 12th edition of Techstars Startup Weekend in Brussels and Startup Weekend Brussels team were celebrating it by inviting everyone with a passion for entrepreneurship to join them at Solvay Brussels School for a thrilling experience!
