Happy Independence Day

Independence day celebration is no less than a festive affair in India. This historical day binds the country and people from different communities together. It holds tremendous ground in the list of national days since it reminds every Indian about the dawn of a new beginning. It was on this day in the year 1947, India attained freedom from
the clutches of British colonialism of more than 200 years.
The day is celebrated by unfurling the national flag, singing the national anthem and remembering the struggles of the freedom fighters who laid their life for the country.
As India is all set to celebrate its 73rd Independence Day on August 15, 2019, here is how you can wish your loved ones 'Happy Independence Day' in different Indian languages.

Happy Rakhi Bandan

This festival to celebrate the bond between a sister and a brother is one of the most special one. Every year sisters choose the best rakhi their brother deserves and brothers plan a gift that would pamper his sister. This relationship that involves love, hate, fun and teasing, a mix of everything is one of the sweetest ones. And what makes this festival even more special are the fascinating stories related to it.
As the name of the festival suggests, it is about brothers taking a pledge to protect (Raksha) their sisters’ honour and respect owing to their relationship (Bandhan). There are many traditional fables that establish these lessons about brothers always coming upfront to protect the honour of their sisters. The significance of this festival lies in celebrating the love of brothers and sisters for each other. People have also given a different dimension to this festival by tying rakhis to their sisters as well. After all, women today are no less in living an independent life and they are as strong as their male counterparts too
