Bicycle Ramp Project

Bicycle Ramp Project
Brighton & Hove City Council
Our team was tasked with developing concepts to aid the local council improve bicycle facilities to train stations in and around Brighton.
The concept was developed in conjunction with Brighton & Hove City Council in an effort to produce a non-permanent, cost effective and easily installed alternative to current solutions.

The modules are manufactured from HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) using one mold, keeping manufacturing costs down.
Once linked together, the undulating gripped surface provide bumps that allow the user greater freedom to control the amount of resistance during their ascent/descent. The teeth along the underside grip the apex of each step allowing the modules to be used on different sized stairways.

After prototypes and costings the project is now in the testing and manufacturing phase.

Final product specifications and renders not shown for legal reasons.
